Cocobaby’s mission is to provide every woman with a community where she can freely express herself and experience a sense of belonging. This work celebrates female empowerment, playfulness and imperfection.

How it began

When lockdown hit, I turned to illustration as a creative escape. I started with pet portraits, but soon the cats and dogs ran out of steam. That’s when I shifted to what truly inspired me: all things feminine — celebrating the female form, empowerment, and playfulness, a love that probably comes from growing up with three sisters in South Africa.

I’ve always been enchanted by the illustrative world of design, from Hermès scarves to bold, storytelling art. Once I found my own style, I realized: why not make my own scarves? Following in the entrepreneurial footsteps of my parents and sister, I launched Cocobaby — a line celebrating imperfection, and female-focused creativity.

From concept to craft, each scarf tells a story, turning art into wearable, playful, colorful pieces. I launched in Colorado, and within months, my first collection sold out — proof that a strong idea, brought fully to life, can resonate far beyond the sketchbook.
